To begin with this recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can cook roast turkey using 23 ingredients and 12 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Roast Turkey:
  1. Get 1 bird Turkey (with liver)
  2. Take 1 Onion
  3. Get 120 grams Peeled chestnuts
  4. Make ready 400 grams Sausage meat
  5. Make ready 1 Egg
  6. Make ready 40 grams Panko
  7. Take 1 Fresh parsley
  8. Make ready 1 Thyme
  9. Take 1 Sage
  10. Get 5 slice Sliced bacon
  11. Take 1 Vegetable oil
  12. Take 5 clove Garlic
  13. Prepare 5 Potatoes
  14. Prepare 2 stick Parsnip
  15. Prepare 20 Brussels sprouts
  16. Take Gravy
  17. Take 4 tsp Plain flour
  18. Take 700 ml Vegetable stock
  19. Take Cranberry Sauce
  20. Prepare 320 grams Cranberries
  21. Get 2 Oranges
  22. Prepare 160 grams Castor Sugar
  23. Prepare 4 tbsp Port wine
Instructions to make Roast Turkey:
  1. Mince the onion and the liver. Boil the chestnuts for 15 minutes and roughly chop.
  2. 200 g of sausage meat will be used for the stuffing, the remaining meat will be wrapped in bacon.
  3. Cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a shallow pot and cook the onion. When the onion is tender, add the liver and cook for 3-4 minutes. Let cool.
  5. Combine Step 4 with the sausage meat, chestnuts, panko, egg, and herbs.
  6. Stuff Step 5 into the neck of the turkey. Use a string to tie it closed and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Place Step 6, the potatoes, and the garlic on a heat-resistant dish. Drizzle with vegetable oil and place into an 180°C oven.
  8. Once the potatoes have cooked, remove them and continue cooking the turkey for another 2 hours.
  9. Boil the parsnip and brussels sprouts so that they are still slightly hard.
  10. Grill the sausage meat bacon wraps and the vegetables in a frying pan.
  11. Once the turkey has finished baking, remove the excess oil and combine with the flour and stock to make the gravy.
  12. [Cranberry Sauce] Grate the orange peel and squeeze out the juice. Place the other ingredients into a pot and simmer on low heat for 7-8 minutes.
